Last January, Hometown Memories sent out a flyer in the Northwest Blade asking people to help write a book about the “Good Old Days” in eastern and northeastern South Dakota. Eureka resident, Selma Lapp, thought it might be fun to submit a story her father told her of when he was a young school boy.
